Services
Cardiopulmonary Support
Managing or replacing the efforts of the heart and lungs using a HLM or VAD to enable a surgeon to perform heart surgery and/or aid poorly performing circulatory organ's recovery.
HLM - Heart Lung Machine
VAD - Ventricular Assist Device
Autologous Blood Management & Recovery
The use of a cellsaver or regenerative therapy to collect surgical bleeding, venous blood via venipuncture, or aspiration of bone marrow for the purpose of autotransfusion to restore, treat, and/or aid the body in healing and recovery due to surgery, trauma, or osteo deterioration.
Cellsaver
A device used to clean and filter a patient's blood for autologous (obtained from self) transfusion.
Regenerative Therapy
Bone Marrow Aspirate (BMA) - Applicable/Injectable autologous concentration of BMA contains not only platelets but also a variety of other powerful cells, including stem cells. Stem cells also have significant anti-inflammatory properties and can powerfully influence other cells involved in inflammation and healing. They also have the ability to become other types of cells. The bone marrow is usually drawn from a patient's pelvic bone (other bones too), concentrated in a centrifuge and then injected into or prepared for application to the problematic area.
Platelet Concentration (PRP & PPP) - Applicable/Injectable autologous concentrated platelets for treatment of tissue and/or joint therapy. Platelets are extracted from venous blood taken from the patient's arm and concentrated using a centrifuge. The concentrate is then injected back into the patient's joint, where the growth factors promote healing and mitigate inflammation.
